Cette \u00e9tude, r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9e dans Nature Communications, pr\u00e9sente un nouveau proc\u00e9d\u00e9 combinant impression 3D et technologie laser permettant de fabriquer des capteurs, des circuits imprim\u00e9s et m\u00eame des textiles int\u00e9grant des composants \u00e9lectroniques, compos\u00e9s de plusieurs mat\u00e9riaux et de plusieurs couches.<br>Cette recherche, baptis\u00e9e \u201c proc\u00e9d\u00e9 d\u2019assemblage multimati\u00e8re de forme libre \u201d, devrait r\u00e9volutionner les m\u00e9thodes de fabrication de nouveaux produits. En imprimant des capteurs int\u00e9gr\u00e9s aux structures, la machine peut cr\u00e9er des dispositifs capables de d\u00e9tecter les conditions environnementales, notamment la temp\u00e9rature et la pression. Pour d\u2019autres chercheurs, cela pourrait se traduire par la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un objet d\u2019aspect naturel, tel qu\u2019un rocher ou un coquillage, capable de mesurer le d\u00e9bit de l\u2019eau de mer. L\u2019approche de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de recherche r\u00e9sout ces probl\u00e8mes gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des techniques sp\u00e9cifiques. Les membres de l'\u00e9quipe ont construit une machine dot\u00e9e de trois buses diff\u00e9rentes : l'une ajoute un mat\u00e9riau semblable \u00e0 de l'encre, une autre utilise un laser pour sculpter des formes et des mat\u00e9riaux, et la troisi\u00e8me ajoute des mat\u00e9riaux fonctionnels suppl\u00e9mentaires afin d'am\u00e9liorer les performances du produit.<br>Tout d'abord, la structure de base est r\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 l'aide de filaments d'impression 3D courants (tels que le polycarbonate, un thermoplastique transparent). Ensuite, un laser est utilis\u00e9 pour transformer certaines parties en un mat\u00e9riau sp\u00e9cial appel\u00e9 \u00ab graph\u00e8ne induit par laser \u00bb et le placer exactement l\u00e0 o\u00f9 il est n\u00e9cessaire.
